Give a Black history book & a soccer ball to a local child today!

Join NAAM & Seattle Sounders FC as we team up on a Books & Balls Giveaway program! With your help, NAAM will give away new books on Black history, arts, and culture & the Sounders will give away new, high-quality soccer balls to youth in our region.

As we strive to have a more just community, books that celebrate Black children and Black lives are more important than ever. And with continued school and library closures due to COVID-19, literacy and educational empowerment programs are needed more than ever. NAAM has carefully curated books that teach all children the rich history of Black Americans. These books center, reflect, and affirm Black children, and are written and illustrated by Black authors and artists.

Sounders FC & RAVE Foundation are committed to combating racism, advocating for social justice, and increasing diversity in the sport. Using soccer as a vehicle to include, educate, and inspire youth, they stand strong in the fight against racism and work to remove barriers to participation in soccer and sport for all children.

• Your gift of $100 will give 4 new soccer balls + 4 new books on the experiences of Black teens to local young adults

• Your gift of $500 will give 15 new soccer balls + 28 new books on Black women & men to local children
