La Causa - A Living Voices Performance

  • Northwest African American Museum 2300 South Massachusetts Street Seattle, WA, 98144 United States (map)

See a performance of La Causa at the Northwest African American Museum only on April 6!

Based on historical events, follow the story of Marta, a young woman who becomes a powerful voice for her community and the farm workers movement in the 1960s. Through the eyes of Marta, discover César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, and the thousands of other migrant farm workers who are participating in a new nonviolent protest movement to improve their own lives by fighting for civil rights. Be inspired by the way Marta and her family step out of the fields and fight for civil rights and against racism and indecent working conditions in this one-woman show.
